Grade 12 Provincial Exams

Grade 12 students must write their provincial exams at their designated day school. These exams account for 20% of their final course grade.

Exam Registration

At the beginning of each semester, day school administrators receive a list of students enrolled in the following Grade 12 courses:

Mathematics

  • Math 40S Applied
  • Math 40S Pre-Calculus
  • Math 40S Essential
  • Mathématiques au quotidien 40SX
  • Mathématiques pré-calcul 40SX

English Language Arts

  • English 40S Comprehensive Focus
  • English 40S Literary Focus
  • English 40S Transactional Focus

This ensures students are registered for the correct exams. Day school administrators are responsible for exam registration.

Grading & Exam Results

  • After completing a provincial exam, the day school adjusts the student’s final grade based on their exam performance.
  • InformNet provides final course grades out of 100.
  • Day school administrators receive both the student’s current course percentage and the equivalent score out of 80 for provincial exam calculations.
  • Full-time InformNet Grade 12 students are registered for provincial exams through InformNet.

Exam Details & Responsibility

Students will be notified about their exam dates, times, and locations by their day school.

“Final responsibility for the administration and marking of the test remains with the school and/or school division in which the student is enrolled.”
